Heavy Rains Bring Flooding and Road Closures in Pecos County
Heavy rains over Pecos County Friday through Sunday bring up to seven inches in some areas and flood conditions on Six Shooter Draw. A Midland family was rescued after their pickup stalled on a dip on Marathon Highway near Elsinore Ranch. Six Shooter Draw and Monument Draw overflowed, damaging roads while Fort Stockton reported lighter rainfall. Monthly and yearly totals rise to .65 and 5.50 inches, with more scattered showers forecast and temperatures from 62 to 98 degrees.

Approximately 700 delegates are expected for the semiannual circuit assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses to be held June 14 to 16 at the new high school auditorium. H. A.
