Remarkable Presence of Mind by a Nine Year Old
The Alpine Avavalanche recounts a nine year old girl, daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Measdy living near town, bitten by a rattlesnake while berry picking. She quickly sucked out the poison, rinsed her mouth at a nearby tank, walked home, fell ill and slept without telling her mother. She recovered by the next day when her parents learned of the bite.
