Pecos County State Bank installs all glass front doors and a glass transom framed in aluminum enhancing visibility and entry. A night depository with time lock is contracted for safety and will be installed in a front window with an interior counter for customers. Compensation Case Jury Arguments in Progress Yesterday
Closing arguments to the jury were in progress yesterday in 112th District Court before Judge Garland Casebier in the compensation suit of R. L. Meadows against Texas Employers Insurance Association. The suit concerns injuries Meadows sustained while employed by Joe M. Cannon, drilling contractor, on July 5, 1951. Trial has been underway since Monday.

Varied Summer Youth Program Planned at Youth Center
The Youth Center directed by Tommie Richardson schedules summer hours 8 to 12 mornings and 2 to 10 evenings except Wednesdays until 5 and Sundays closed. Activities include leather crafts, model car and plane building, ping pong, pool, and dancing. Two softball squads for 13 to 15 year olds and 10 to 12 year olds will start workouts next week at 3, with a ping pong elimination tournament beginning Monday.

Jaycees Hear Schools at Capacity Need for New Room
Superintendent Elen Smith told the Fort Stockton Jaycees that district schools are full and a new fifteen room elementary school plus conversion of Comanche School into a junior high is being studied. He noted bonds for a $200000 building program could be financed without a tax rate increase, but ongoing costs would require higher revenues or a rate hike if a new building is pursued. The school board will decide if a new building should go to voters for funding.
