Heavy rains Thursday and Friday sent torrents five to six feet deep through the Belding farming area twelve miles southwest of Fort Stockton. Floodwaters ripped up railroad tracks roads and fences and damaged crops. Local gauges report up to six inches of rain with thousands of dollars in damages to farms. The road out of the area became impassable by 8:30 p.m. Friday.
