Fort Stockton churches announce two vacation Bible schools starting Monday June 4. The Baptist School runs 8:30 to 11:30 daily with department superintendents Mrs M M Westmorland Mrs R Ward Mrs Sim Reeves and Mrs J W Butler and ends June 13. The joint Methodist Presbyterian school runs 9 to 11 daily from June 4 to June 15 led by general superintendent Mrs Bryan Wells with staff from both churches.

Third Wool Appraisal At Stockton Wool and Mohair Co
The third wool appraisal of the season was made here last week at Stockton Wool and Mohair Company. A price of 52.50 per hundred pounds for eight months wool was quoted. Manager W H Burcham reports the appraisal from COC officials cleaned out the warehouse on completed lots. Better appraisals are being given the warehouse stocks each time. The event was followed by Miss Mary Flo Warnock undergoing an appendectomy Monday at a local hospital. She is recovering rapidly.
