Betsy Ross Edges Toward Full Library in Mobile Center
Betsy Ross school in Forest Park will gain its first library and media resource center this year. A 26 by 38 foot mobile classroom was moved to the playground and will be converted, with a $5,000 total refurbishment cap, into the new facility under principal Naomi Vinette.

First Female Triton Trustee to Resign Amid Move to Japan
Ann E. Brennan, Triton College's first female trustee and Oak Park resident, plans resignation by October end after a brief 11 year tenure. She will move to Tokyo for her husband’s promotion, recommends appointing another woman, and notes the board has 30 days to fill the vacancy. New resource center opens at St. John's
The St. John's Instructional Media Center in room 102 offers a self paced learning lab with tapes, kits, worksheets and drill material. Fourth graders Jimmy and Craig listen to stories while eighth graders log their work and parents volunteer during school hours.
