Oak Park block party hit by heavy rain amid village festivities
Torrential rains during A Day In Our Village events ruined planned activities on the 700 block of Wisconsin. Judith Blank reported meat salvaged as salads and desserts were spoiled, but organizers planned a summer rerun. Florence Zvetina noted kids created activities while neighbors shared ethnic dishes from Japan, China, Germany, and Italy.
