Security gaps in Forest Park apartment entry systems
A World reporter joins Forest Park Detective Michael Thompson to inspect multi unit buildings on Des Plaines Avenue finding broken locks, unsecured lobby doors and open entry via buzzers or random digits. He demonstrates how easily entrances can be breached, urging residents to remain vigilant and avoid overtrusting intercoms and doors while noting burglaries are common elsewhere. Community notices also announce summer camp registrations at Camp Douglas for seven to fourteen year olds with program details and contact numbers.
