Park District Art Fair Draws 75 Artists Under Pleasant Skies
Bright skies blessed last Sunday's Park District Art Fair with 75 plus exhibitors. Prizes included a 150 Best of Show for Rasha Rash a Homewood artist in monotypes and paintings and a 75 award in the all other media category. Several artists received 75 and 25 prizes across oils watercolors all other media and three dimensional categories. Judges were Wayne Burdens Joan Steinbeck and Forrest Tracy. Eagles Auxiliary plans a picnic August 26 at 6 30 p m and help for the Aerie picnic on September 12 with Stella Moorehouse in charge.

Insurance testing funds cut in Illinois
The Illinois Insurance Department suspends testing and licensing for broker and agent applicants after a temporary injunction in Sangamon County cut funding. Examinations scheduled for Aug 14 and 28 will proceed but no further tests will be set until funding is resolved. Renewals are unaffected.
