Cop is shot in ambush in Forest Park search
Police officer Forest Park Sgt. Richard Archambault was shot twice while patrolling Forest Home Cemetery and when he confronted three youths. An extensive manhunt by 175 officers from at least 10 departments, Chicago helicopter units and a dog team followed. no suspects were found.

Forest Park Bloodmobile returns April 23 with drive for donors
The Forest Park Bloodmobile will be at the Naval Reserve Center on Roosevelt Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday April 23. Appointments are available by calling 771-3136. Coordinator Jan Behnke says the drive aims for 150 pints and seeks volunteers to help.
