Forest Social Club Fall Festival and Carnival
The Forest Social club will stage a fall festival and carnival the week starting October 3 on Roosevelt Road Elgin and Harlem avenues. Roosevelt Road Civic club will cooperate by decorating all businesses on that street with flags and pennants. Grounds will feature cornstalks pumpkins and autumn branches. The same company that provided entertainment for the last carnival will operate games and rides this year.

Enrollment at Proviso High School Increases
Enrollment at Proviso high school rises to 1673 by midweek, up 218 from last year, with all district eighth graders in the freshman class. There are 67 freshmen including 255 girls and 612 boys, senior class at 24, junior 265, sophomore 385, advanced freshman 223, plus two graduates. The auditorium seats just over 1400, leaving many standing. discussions of enlarging facilities intensify as crowd sizes grow.

Heileman Goes to Minnesota for Brother-in-Law Funeral
Henry Heileman of Hall-Fleile Went to Litchfield Minnesota for the funeral of Dr. G A Cutts. The wedding of Dr Cutts’ son Rodin and Dorothy Remington proceeded as planned at Minneapolis with only close family present. Dr Cutts, a Minnesota pioneer, passed after illness. Heileman was nursed at the Cutts home in Litchfield and returned to Forest Park with Ernest Heileman of The Toggery Oak Park attending.
