Presbyterians to Rededicate Building in Forest Park

The First Presbyterian Church of Forest Park will rededicate its sanctuary and youth center at 11 a.m. Sunday with Rev. Harald J. King delivering the sermon and conducting the exercises. Interims pastor Rev. William F. McDermott will assist. Mrs. Stanley Russell directs music. The extensive renovation, including exterior white siding, new interior decor, and a repurposed gym as a youth center, totals about 20,000 in value with labor largely donated by members.

Bouska Promoted to Specialist Four at Fort Hood

Gerald F. Bouska aged 23 son of Mr and Mrs George J Bouska of 440 Thomas was promoted to specialist four on August 25 while serving with the 2d Armored Division tank crew at Fort Hood Texas.

Crackdown on garbage can care door to door

Mayor Howard Mohr ordered a crackdown on residents neglecting garbage containers after complaints of uncovered cans and unsuitable receptacles. Chief Elmer Schnurstein said officers will photograph violations, with 30 gallon or smaller covered cans required. The village warns landlords via arrest notices and continues alley patrols for enforcement.

The Forest Park Woman's Club begins its 1965 66 season with a Fall Luncheon at Oak Park Arms Hotel on Tuesday at noon. Mrs Gwendolyn Jahnke presents a dramatic musical book review The Life of Johann Strauss II The Vienna Waltz King with piano by Mrs Walter Marks. Dr. Trapanese Dies at 44 in Bellwood Home

Dr. D Richard Trapanese a 44 year old heart specialist died suddenly at his Bellwood residence 1144 Boland Sunday He was born in Forest Park and moved to Bellwood after 20 years practicing in Chicago He served as an army captain in World War I and earned summa cum laude from Loyola University Medical School Surviving are his widow Phyllis and nine children, his parents, and a brother.

Reserve Police Hold 1st Annual Dance

The Forest Park Reserve Police will hold its first annual dance on Saturday September 15 at Loyal Order of Moose Hall. Entree is 6 30 p m with music by Red Sarlo and his orchestra. Beverages will be available and door prizes will be awarded. Tickets are available from all officers.

Reclaim Lost Articles at Pool

Park District President John Hanley says many personal items were found in the pool this season. Items include keys medals rings purses watches. Owners may pick them up at the Pack Office Saturday at 1 p.m. with proper identification.
