The 36th annual Bataan Day Parade began on 5th Ave Maywood at 1 15 p m with the theme Freedom Spirit of America. Mayor Santo Rizzo and Commissioner Ed Lambke represented Forest Park along with Congressman Henry Hydesins and Rep Ted Leverenz. Proviso East and West High bands supplied music honoring ex POWs and WWII Bataan Day survivors.
