At the August Chicago Board of Education meeting Mrs. Alice Zimmerman wife of Police Sergeant Robert Zimmerman was named Supervisor in the Bureau of Mentally Handicapped Children. She will guide and advise Ed ucable and Trainable Mentally Retarded teachers at elementary and secondary levels. The appointment starts September 6.

Proviso Opens Wednesday To Comply with Law
The Proviso Township High Schools Board adopts a revised 1965-66 calendar to meet HB 1653 requiring 185 days including institutes. District 209 will have 162 pupil attendance days plus three approved institutes. start date is Sept 8 with staggered dismissal for upperclassmen, freshmen stay longer. Christmas recess ends Jan 3. Easter break is Apr 8 and 11. final student day is June 10, 1966.

Free Water Show at Forest Park Pool on Labor Day
The Forest Park Pool will host a free Labor Day water show on September 6 at 8 p.m. The evening features teen and youngster games, a dime scavenger hunt for children, a melon race for teens, diving exhibitions by three top area divers, a local girls water ballet, and a water skiing demonstration powered by a motorcycle loan from Bill Thede of Minos Harley-Davidson. Crime Decreases 32 Percent Here in Forest Park
Chief Elmer Schourstein reports a 32 percent drop in crime in Forest Park led by a fall in larceny from 124 incidents in the first half last year to 83 this year. Lt.
