Second Motorcycle Fatality in Forest Park Reported
August 29 1971 at 2 36 a m Forest Park Police responded to a motorcycle crash on Lathrop Ave under the Chicago and North Western viaduct. Driver Craig D Palmland 23 of 5823 W Superior St Chicago died at Quak Park Hospital. Passenger Nalbert Delude 21 of 812 Belle Forte Oak Park sustained multiple fractures and injuries. Both men were northbound and struck the viaduct center abutment then crossed lanes into a bridge beam. Inquest set for August 30 at Ahigrim Funeral Home Chicago.

Two Nabbed After Wild Chase Through Suburbs
Two armed robbers were captured after a high speed pursuit across Berwyn Cicero and Chicago ending in a crash. Frank Willingham and Harold Longstreet, both 20 of Chicago, were charged with armed robbery possession of a stolen auto and stolen plates with bonds set at 20000 each. A wrist watch from the previous week’s holdup was recovered.
