Forest Park signs an agreement with the U S Postal Service to explore sale or purchase of the former naval ordnance plant at Roosevelt and Desplaines. Mayor Rizzo says the village can’t afford to buy it, aiming to attract private buyers for a potential shopping mall and tax base, with asking price around 4.14 million and planning by developers.
