Buses Substituted On Lake Route For Elevation Changeover

Mrs Hager Celebrates 90th Birthday At Maywood Home
The 90th birthday of Mrs Enwin Hager was held at her residence 1001 Ferdinand Sunday. Friends and neighbors attended as sons Roland Maurice and Roy posed with her. Greetings came from President Kennedy and Mayor and Mrs W H Meyer. Mrs Hager has lived in Proviso area since 1980 when the Gustafson family moved to Maywood from Sweden.

Tomorrow is the deadline for petitions to run for village judge and court clerk with the Village Clerk by 4 30 p m Friday The primary is December 1 to narrow two candidates per office The village creates a court with state salary for the judge and clerks and the general election is December 15 At press time no petitions filed but several circulated for both offices Each petition needs 25 signatures
Nine Hurt in Accidents Here
The village ambulance handled three crashes on Saturday. A Westchester driver rear ended a car at Circle and Roosevelt causing back injuries treated at Oak Park hospital. An Oak Park officer's squad car hit another car at Harlem and Washington, then struck a grit pole injuring Officer Harold Fitzimmons. A five car crash at Harlem and Roosevelt involved Luther Shannon of Aurora. seven people were injured including Shannon’s wife with a broken knee cap.

Adult Treasure Hunt Planned by Pack 105
On Saturday November 10 Cub Scout Pack 105 at Field Stevenson school hosts a treasure hunt to raise funds. The hunt covers a 10 square mile area around Roosevelt road and First age with clues at about 10 locations. Prizes go to the three fastest teams. each team pays $12 for six members and selects a spokesman to collect a $2 per person donation.
