Not to exceed 346000 dollars, with alternates affecting final cost. Anticipated completion August 15, 1957. Work to start soon, two to three weeks behind schedule due to skilled labor shortages blamed on a fathers union of about 900 members. area needs 2500.

State Visiting Day at Village Schools

Dog bites report in Berwyn and Dunlop area
Five year old Katherine Boice of Berwyn was bitten on the left arm by a dog at 837 Thomas this week. Harriet Falbo, 12, of 1039 Dunlop, was bitten at 1030 Dunlop this week and taken to Dale Park hospital. The animal was impounded for observation.

Break-in Report at Mrs Chamberlain’s Washington Ave Apartment
Forest Park police report two suspects, the daughter Madyson Slaughter of Maywood and William Herring of Chicago, broke into Mrs Chamberlain’s apartment on October 17. They allegedly forced entry by breaking the front screen door and took property belonging to the daughter.
