Halloween events fill Forest Park with kid friendly fun
Forest Park offers multiple Halloween activities as a Trick at Treats replacement. Middle School hosts a coke dance on Friday October 26 at 7 30 PM. Kindergarten through sixth grade schools schedule parades room parties and costumes on Wednesday October 31 starting after lunch. Parochial schools hold parties, and a pumpkin carving contest runs October 27 at 10 AM. The Spook House operates October 30 and 31 from 7 30 to 9 30 PM at the Park administration building.

Two Giant Steps For New Community Center
Tangible progress on Mayor Howard Mohr’s plan for a new community center advances on two fronts. Kiwanis of Forest Park donates 1000 dollars to the fund, while groundwork begins on the new building wing and the old Water Works garage is set for remodeling. The center will total about 3300 square feet for youth seniors and other groups, with Harvest of Harmony planned for November 2 to aid fundraising.
