Gov William Stratton will be in Forest Park October 30 for the cornerstone ceremony at Forest Park Presbyterian Church at Lexington and Ferdinand. The event begins at 4 30 p m with Stratton speaking and Dr Lou Wallace Gade laying the stone. Police search for the identity of a man fatally beaten in an alley near Zimmerman's funeral home. Proviso Plans Teaching Course For Substitute Training
A program to train teachers for substitute work will start at Proviso next February under Northern Illinois University. It will be conducted with cooperation from Proviso Morton and Oak Park River Forest high schools. Bachelor holders who complete the course can become certified teachers.
