First Community Center Opens to Public in Forest Park
The Sist uil kind center in Forest Park opens this week under the Playground and Recreation board and Recreation Project No. 7SIB Madison Street. It will operate 9 am to 10 pm five days weekly with Saturday off. Activities include ping pong chess checkers shuffleboard hand crafts dancing dramatics and a play school for ages 3 and 4. WPA funds provide most materials with a few chairs sewing machines and tables needed. donations invited by calling the Recreation office Forest 733. The advisory council invites residents to visit and back the center’s development into a premier Cook County recreation facility.

Repair Work Made Possible by WPA Funds at Forest Park Schools
General repair work at Forest Park public schools began last week funded by the WPA Project No 9085. The local district bears only a small portion of the total cost as the work is undertaken with federal aid.
