Maywood Police Nab Fast Driver After Car Chase

Maywood officers pursued a Ford sedan with four aboard into Forest Park. A gunfight occurred as the chase continued, the occupants fled the vehicle, and three men were captured and jailed. Two prisoners escaped the Maywood jail days later and remain at large.

Valetta Beaucaire Hosts 18th Birthday Party

Library meeting highlights four thousand books and two thousand subscribers

The Forest Lark Library held a meeting last Wednesday where librarian Miss Myrtle Dahmke delivered an encouraging report. The library now houses four thousand books and serves over two thousand subscribers. New books and magazines will be added, and a complete May publication is planned for the radio next week.
