The Forest Park Playgrounds committee led by Kernest Watt leased 100 feet of ground from the public school board near the new Betsy Ross school. A Garford truck carries an 8 inch compressor for sand blasting stone and brick on the Review building front. Two men operate the system, one on the truck and one at the hose, removing soil and grime quickly, with the process producing a baby snow storm of sand on the sidewalk.

A Uig playgrounds committee meeting at the village hall approved leasing grounds to the committee and authorizing toboggan slides at four local schools.
