Brandt Installed as Legion Commander in Town Ceremony
Amid a galaxy of Legion dignitaries and friends, H Brandt was installed as commander of the local Legion Post. State Commander Edward Clamage led the ceremony with Mayor Hussey among attendees. William J. Collins presided as installing officer, with officers pledged to serve to the best of their abilities. Plans for the Armistice dance were set, with committees to handle arrangements. the event is slated for November 12.

Fall Festival draws crowds at Forest Park event
Forest Park’s third annual Fall Festival attracts large crowds all week with rides and children’s activities. Wednesday featured the pe office dedication as the sole event beyond the rides, while Friday offers a children’s program and a pet parade. Judges award prizes for pets and dolls as part of the day’s events, followed by a parade and decorated wheel contest at Madison Street and Thomas Avenue.
