Harvest of Harmony Benefit to Feature Champs and Arlingtones
The Harvest of Harmony barbershop show at Proviso East High School on Friday November 2 8 15 pm will headline The Soundtrackay and The Arlingtones. The Soundtracks famed quartet and The Arlingtones 80 man chorus will perform to raise funds for Forest Park Community Center with $2 50 general and $10 patron tickets. Proceeds go to Mayor Howard Mohr for a new facility near Des Plaines.

Park Pool Fishing Opens Saturday in Forest Park
Forest Park Park District opens its pool grounds to fishing Saturday at eight in the morning. Anglers may fish from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Hundreds of fish are stocked for the rout season.

An open Forest Park hearing on charges against former police chief Edwin Ziebell began Monday in the Public Library, then recessed to Thursday October 11 after 3 1/2 hours of opening arguments. Attorneys sparred over charges, timing, and admissibility, with the board ordering bills of particulars on some counts. Ziebell, facing scrutiny since 1970, was relieved of duties in 1972 and remains a 26 year veteran of the department.

Getaway Car Of The Month In Go Tane Station Heist
Three men robbed a Go-Tane station at 949 Harlem, fleeing in a small foreign car with about 160 dollars. Cicero police, alerted by Lt Edwin Ziebell, stopped the vehicle within five minutes. Anthony Marchese of Cicero was identified by the attendant as one of the suspects.
