Viola Gitzel Memorial Mural Dedicated at Library
The Viola Gitzel Memorial Mural was presented to the Library on November 17 by Mrs. James Schroeter and Mrs. William Chapman, daughters of the late Viola Gitzel. Chicago artist Andreae Kauffman painted the piece for the Viola Gitzel Addition, showcasing prairie state scenes from pioneer days to modern times with vivid color.

Youth Commission Teen 1.D. Registration Night Opens

Forest Park squad car damaged in parking lot crash
A Forest Park police car was heavily damaged when a civilian car, driven by a passenger who moved the car, nearly struck the officer inside. The phantom driver hit the accelerator, causing glass and steel damage. Louis Rossi of Franklin Park was arrested on negligent driving damage to village property and no valid license and set to appear January 15 in local court.

Forest Park Band to Stage Winter Concert

Longtime Resident Fauteck Remembered For Local Roots
Josephine Carne Fauteck died at 82 after 67 years at one Forest Park address. She came with her mother and sister to start a Dixon Circle grocery near Grant White School, ran it about two decades, raised two sons, and lived in the same block until her death this week.

Fire Chief Delwin Marousek and Lt Raymond Farrell retire
Fire Chief Delwin Marousek and Lieutenant Raymond Farrell are retiring with disability pensions on December 1 after 21 and 26 years of service respectively.
