Man From Tokyo Clears Forest Park Parking Fine
Kunio Suhara of Tokyo sent a $10 check from Mitsubishi Bank Ltd to Continental Minnets National Bank of Chicago to pay a Forest Park parking ticket. He also paid 80 cents postage. mailed November 15, it arrived four days later. A nonpayment could have triggered an arrest warrant.

Fire at Forest Apartments Evacuates 50 Residents
A storage locker fire at Forest Apartments 148 Circle caused heavy smoke and forced a five story building evacuation. Police and firefighters aided residents in darkness and cold, one blind bed-ridden man was carried to safety. Most returned by 10 pm. some stayed in motels. Grant-White School housed evacuees.
