Tavern Demolished After Violent Bar Raid
Six or more men raided Bartholomews Tavern at 7609 Madison on Tuesday evening breaking mirrors, chairs and paintings. Bartender Terry Serwot was struck and later treated with 6 stitches. patrons were restrained with knives at doors. Police could not identify the raiders. Mayor Witt ordered liquor license suspension pending investigation of 8.G.H. Inc ownership.

Claude Walker Jr Honored At DuPage Airport Lobby
Officials dedicated the lobby of the administration building at DuPage County Airport to Claude Walker Jr a deceased county board member. The Claude Walker lobby was unveiled with a plaque as Walker’s widow Nancy and her three teenage children attended the ceremony.

Father Prescott Dies in Peru
Funeral services were held November 13 for Columban Father Richard Prescott 38 who died November 12 from acute blood poisoning. Born October 27 1931 in Chicago he studied at DePaul and was ordained in 1961. He served at St Columbans Neb before his Lima Peru assignment to a 15000 person slum parish. Survived by his mother step father and siblings.
