Hughes of Forest Park National Bank is re elected president of the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce for 1977. The nominating committee praised his leadership in the year past and named an executive slate including Trage, Long, Bloedal, Haeger and Robitschek. New and continuing directors plus honorary posts are listed with John Wade named as executive director, combining chamber work with county development duties.
Parents of seventh and eighth graders in Forest Park schools may meet representatives from five area high schools on Tuesday evening November 23 at 8 p.m. at the Academy to discuss future plans. St Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary Nazareth Walther Lutheran Proviso East will answer questions about programs and admission details. Refreshments will be served.
The bivalent flu vaccine for persons 9 years and over and for those with chronic illnesses will be given on Friday November 19 at Schroeder Park Broadview from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Homebound residents in Proviso Township should call the Referral Office at 344-7430 or 343-8055 before November 18 to arrange home inoculation.

Village Clerk William McKenzie announces a mail in program for 1977 vehicle stickers for residents who cannot visit the village hall. Seniors must apply in person at 517 Des Plaines Ave for the reduced rate. Fees are 10 dollars for under 35 hp and 16 dollars for 35 hp plus. Deadline February 16, 1977, or citations with a 15 dollar fine begin. Police Chief Richard Crane notes state police rules delay ticketing until December 1.
