St Bernardine's Gala Bazaar Invites Parishioners

St Bernardine's parish plans a two day gala bazaar at Forest Park venue with knitting booths games prizes and stage shows. Proceeds fund construction of the new church at Harrison and Elgin as cleanup and tower stones near completion. River Forest Library opens open house November 16 for mothers and new children books displays. River Forest Park District commissioners meet November 20 at 7:30 pm.

Legion Post Turkey and Duck Festival Planned for Saturday

Forest Park Post No. 44 of the American Legion will host its Turkey and Duck Festival this Saturday. Members and friends anticipate an evening of entertainment with Ninow Merry Mal featured. Planned events include a December 17 children’s Christmas party and a December 9 annual dance to fund party expenses. Armistice Day activities honored veterans with flags, wreaths, and a Memorial Stone ceremony, and the Junior Vice-Commander Marion Ensminger received praise for organizing the dance. Mrs. William Hint and Mrs. Walter Neubiser won prizes at the stair.
