Botzen Deaths Inquest Today
An inquest is set for today into the deaths of Mr and Mrs Botzen of 609 Lathrop. The elderly couple were found shot in their living room on Saturday. Authorities believe the deaths are a murder suicide. Mrs Botzen age 5 was shot in the head and chest, Mr Botzen was shot in the mouth. A .32 caliber revolver lay nearby. Reports say Mr Botzen faced a cataract operation and feared his wife's future. Before their deaths they told Mil Bailey of 7600 Harrison they would request cremation if anything happened.

The Proviso bond issue failed by 6 338 to 5 628 overall with Forest Park 412 against 255 for. Westchester and Hillside backed the 1 750 000 plan while Maywood Broadview and Melrose Park rejected it. Forest Park turnout was under 700. last minute smear sheets appeared in Maywood. Local officials lamented lower education funding but noted increased awareness since 1960 and the need for future action.
