Memorial Day Parade Saturday observances downtown
The Memorial Day Parade will begin at 1 pm from Grant-White school and proceed west on Madison and south on Desplaines to the Park area for services. Rev. R. W. Roth of St. Peter's church will give the Invocation, wreaths honor veterans, Captain W. C. Taylor will speak, and a Legion and VFW Honor Guard will fire a salute to the colors. Everyone is invited to attend.

The 1050 Ponti ac Catalina will highlight Forest Park Festival Days from July 24 to August 2. Clarence Schultz, chairman, says a carnival at the tennis court grounds by Harrigan and Hannah will anchor the event with local organizations staffing booths. Proceeds go to local charities.
