Watercolor Exhibition and Memorial Parade in Forest Park
A Sunday art show at Homer’s Restaurant features Miss Bea Hernandey’s watercolors with portraits in Acrylics and a reception from 1 to 6 pm. Afterward the Forest Park Memorial Services parade on Thursday May 30 includes Civil Air Patrol Sea Scout and Scout units, bands, and a 2 pm service at Village Park led by Rev. Walter K Mohr with Lt Col Frederick Forts delivering the day’s address.

Open Pantry Robbed by Armed Bandit
An armed man entered Open Pantry at 7529 Roosevelt and held manager Terry Gilson and two customers at bay while stealing $249.87 from the cash register. He also grabbed wallets belonging to Garry Ankey and Phillip Hoffman containing cash and IDs before fleeing. officers arrived after a burglar alarm but found the suspect gone.
