Strange Accident On Expressway Involving Local Men
Richard Meyer of Cicero was hit from behind while eastbound on the Expressway. His car spun and was struck again by Joseph Hawkins of Chicago Construction, Meyer's employer. The hit-and-run driver left the scene. tow truck driver turned out to be Bob Meyers, Richard's brother. Richard Meyer received 15 stitches at Hillside Medical Center.

Color Guard Joins Loy alty Day Parade in Evanston
Forest Park Memorial Post 7181 Color Guard marched in the 4th District Loy alty Day parade in Evanston to oppose May Day celebrations. The district parade began in Forest Park in 1959 and continues annually, drawing an estimated 50 000 spectators for a two hour event.
