Motorcycle Officer Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash
Motorcycle Officer Jacoba pursued speeding autos on Madison street near Concordia Cemetery when his bike struck a street car track and collided with a passing Ford. He was severely injured, taken to Oak Park hospital, with a groin rip and left wrist sprain. Eleven autos were in the crash. the Ford vanished, believed stolen. Neighborhood Club Closes Year's Work Friday Afternoon
The Neighborhood Club of Forest Park held the final business meeting of the year Friday afternoon, May Orb, planning the annual Wideon and theater party and an old-yearcard. Mrs Cunningham gave a book review of Edna Werber’s novel, and the theater party is set for May 28 at the Play House with a luncheon at the Hamp ton club. The annual card party raised funds for the club yearbook, with prizes awarded and many attendees. Several members, including Miss Schuster, provided songs, and plans for the Illinois Federation of Women's Clubs convention were announced for Moline on May 27–28–22 with delegates and alternates named and travel by Mrs Roos.

Police Magistrate Paul R. Witt pledged the usual $5 fine and costs to eleven motorists Saturday who failed to observe stop signs at boulevard crossings. Four who had been arrested appeared Monday night for trial. Outsiders top the list of violators, with most arrests for not stopping at Circle avenue near Jackson, Washington or Madison. Drivers claim they observed signs, and some suggest larger or multiple signs on Madison Street to improve compliance.

Maywood parade plans raise funds for school PTA event
Children, parents and teachers plan two Mardi Gras style parades in Forest Park and Maywood to fund school improvements. The Grant School PTA presents a multifaceted program with bands, dances, novelty acts and a parade route along local streets culminating at Randall Street. Proceeds support Grant School facilities and grounds.
Hospital Day brings geraniums to Speedway visitors
Crowds fill the Edward Hines Jr. hospital grounds for a village day at Speedway. 5000 visitors attended as patients’ families saw a new mahogany porch furniture set, kitchenware and bead items crafted by local youths and sold to raise funds for patient care. Officials and auxiliary members led by Mrs Frank Metersohn coordinated the reception and sales event.
