Cerebral Palsy Collection Set For Next Tuesday

The $3-Minute March on Cerebral Palsy is scheduled for next Tuesday May 19 in Chicago and suburban Cook Lake DuPage and Kane counties. More than 35000 volunteers will ask neighbors for contributions during the ninth annual drive by United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago. Mrs Peg Moore Forest Park chairwoman says all workers will get kits and final instructions by Thursday May 14.

Local Tax Penalty Date Set for August First

The County Treasurer has set August 1 as the first installment penalty date for real estate taxes. Taxpayers are advised that warrants and bills will be issued to the local collector during June.
