Postage Rates Change Set to Take Effect May Sixteenth
Postmaster Bill Schulman announced new postal rates effective May 16 1971. First class postage rises to 8¢ per ounce, all mail 11¢ per ounce, postal cards 5? per ounce, and all mail cards 9¢ per ounce, with old 6 10 5 and 8 cent stamps still usable when combined to meet new rates.

Proviso Announces Summer School Schedule and Fees
Proviso Township outlines summer session locations at Proviso EAST and PROVISO WEST starting June 2 for six weeks with classes five days a week. Eighth graders may take non credit courses including Getting Ready for Algebra Reading Improvement and Personal Typing. Credit courses include World Geography Civics Clothing I B and Art Activities with a $3 registration fee and tuition of 20 or 35 per course.

Oktoberfest Plans Promised For Forest Park Weekend
Forest Park hosts an Oktoberfest on September 24 25 and 26 with beer food music and dancing. The committee invites local organizations to join and attend a final planning meeting on June 17 at 8 00 p.m. at the F W Clubhouse 424 Des Plaines Avenue.
