Little League Opens May 16 With Major League Twin Bill
The 1965 Little League season starts Sunday May 16 with a 2 p.m. Phillies versus Cubs game and a 3 30 p.m. White Sox against Yankees doubleheader. Six teams participate with the Braves drawing a bye. Forest Park Youth Commission with the Kiwanis Club presents a program on Juvenile Delinquency. Mayor Howard Mohr will speak on local problems and Lt Edward Mulcrone of the Chicago Police Dept Youth Division will discuss youth problems. The event is at the Forest Park Moose Lodge at 8 p.m. on Monday May 17 with refreshments courtesy of Kiwanis.

Top Oratory Honors For Roberta Murphy
Miss Roberta Murphy of 909 Beloit is named one of the top five college orators in the United States. Representing Northern Illinois University as a sophomore, she competed in a 10 day national tournament in Tacoma Washington with 54 universities and 600 students. Murphy is a Proviso graduate and the daughter of Mr and Mrs John Murphy studying special education.

Walker Elected To Safety Group
