On Saturday night Forest Park Lodge 1671 Loyal Order of Moose installed Robert Hauptman as Governor for 1973 1974. A turkey dinner followed with watermelon, then dancing and refreshments. Flag theft at village hall sparks arrest in River Grove

Merrill K. Pulliam, president of E.W. Kneip, Inc. of Forest Park, was elected to the board of directors of Peter Eckrich and Sons, Inc. The announcement came from Donald P. Eckrich, president of the Fort Wayne meat specialty company. Pulliam joined Kneip in 1946, rose to wholesale operations manager in 1954, became vice president in 1956, president in 1969, and has served as a director for eight years and treasurer of the company.

Rierson Drugs co-owner returns from Alaska hunt
Jim McCann, Rierson Drugs co owner, brought home two trophies from Alaska in the Brooks Mountain Range about 300 miles northeast of Fairbanks. He bagged a 220 pound Dall Sheep and a Caribou with an unusual antler structure. The hunting party was dropped by charter plane and had no contact with civilization for 10 days while Ed Malczynski ran the store.
