High Honor to twenty pupils at Proviso High School as twenty in 1028 class are elected to the National Honor Society by faculty vote. Induction will be held Friday at the assembly. Names include Blatter, Rudiner, Mosse, Beush, Cooper, Harbushka, Hendricksen, Toelven, Nerynett, Kristulek, Leudtkes, Seliacks, Schnett, Shannon, Sosnik, Stes, Weis, Wiechman, Yorun, Young. Eight were elected last fall, bringing total to twenty eight. Principal Robb presides. Vera Hiel... assists.
Herman Brown former chief of police of Forest Park is placed on the pension list at 100.4 dollars per month starting January 1 1928 after an extended negotiation. He previously sued the village and won a 2400 dollar judgment for 1926 and 1927 pension rights, now set aside. The village council and pension commission led by Otto Roeder and Fred C Becker announced the new arrangement.
The Regular Republican Club plans a campaign winding rally at the Masonic Temple on Friday evening April 7. County Commissioner J.P. Carolin will preside with keynote speakers led by States Attorney Crowe and including Sheriff Graydon Edward Moore Oscar Nelson Senator Health and Judge Barana.
Lieut Cleary spoke at Otto's cafe on civic duty and franchise use, stressing honest voting and capable officials. A DeKalb Governors Day delegation will attend, with Jamie Heron entertaining. plans include a local dinner for attendance credit. The Isaak Watton program was postponed. an effort is underway to secure Dr. Preston Bradley as speaker.

Henry D Schumacher a former county magistrate and head of the National Republican Party in Forest Park presided over a sparsely attended meeting at a Masonic Temple Thursday evening. The event featured Judge John A Swanson and others urging support for multiple candidates including Frederic J Lurtich and Anna Wihworth Tekes, with Tekes highlighting drilling the value of pumping voting and party backing.
Tonight at Masonica Temple a second annual cath diner is planned by Rick Dost and American Levin with entertainment shifted to a cabaret style. Albrightt will serve a six course dinner. Theo fertainmignt will Le chiborste. Tickets five dollars.

Donald Prosser seven year old son of Mr and Mrs Prosser living at 770 Adams Street River Forest was hit by a Ford touring car near Central and Ashland Avenues at about 845 am on March 19. He was found unconscious on the roadway and taken home by a dairy milkman then to West Suburban Hospital where x rays showed three broken ribs. The child said two boys in the car did not stop.
Fairelild, Elgin school sup t, urged unity on the community chest advisory board. He described gains since its 4 year establishment, noting more donors and broader support from hospitals, YMCA, Salvation Army, health programs, and child welfare groups. Officials spoke on school involvement and education, with many questions from residents.
A United Republicans rally at Legion Hall drew a large crowd for a campaign event featuring speakers Judge Barasa for board of review, Ty J. Lynch of Maywood, Jeetien Mey for highway commissioner of Proviso Towns County, J. P. Carolan for Hiver Harvest, Lennard DeFrance, Joseph Manning for State Representative, and others including I. Baimnondi for precinct committeeman and August Galegan.
The National Republican party opened headquarters in the Wolf Building at 7343 Madison Street. Jude Schumacher heads the local organization. They are supporting the Deneen ticket in the county campaign.
