Maywood youth dies after theatre shooting accident
Edward Perkins, 17, of Maywood, was fatally shot near the Majestic theatre after an accidental discharge by Kronemann. Kronemann, Parkins, and Lambert, all teens, were questioned as suspects but the incident was ruled an accident. Perkins died on the operating table at Lake’s Hospital.

Henry Hartman, former Forest Park boy now with the First Regiment Band at Camp Logan Texas, played two difficult saxophone solos to the hearty applause of an estimated three to four thousand attendees at a recent Community Concert in Houston's City Auditorium. The program, furnished by the 131st Infantry Band from Camp Logan, drew one of the largest Sunday afternoon crowds in the venue's history.
