Tony DiFoggio, finishing his first six year term on Forest Park Park Board, is the sole incumbent running in the April 1 election where two seats will be filled from five candidates. Biagi Raimondi Rites Held for Forest Park Resident
Funeral services were held for Biagi Raimondi at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. A Forest Park resident for 52 years, the 78-year-old former attorney lived in Chicago and Forest Park, moving to town in 1923. He served as village court clerk under Judge Edward Schultz and aided friends in financial distress during the Depression. He was survived by four sons, 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and his wife Lena had died in 1953.

Forest Park rolls out four month field training for rookies
Police Chief Richard Crane announced Forest Park Police Department started a formal four month field training program for three new rookies. Mayor Howard Mohr noted only a few Illinois towns use this approach and the method traces to the University of Illinois Police Training Institute two years ago. Drane added rookies previously trained with veteran officers and learned by chance, risking poor habits.

Almost all 14 village and park office candidates will attend Moose Hall Monday evening for a Candidates Night hosted by the Forest Park Review. Publisher Robert Haeger says each candidate gets five minutes, with time for informal voter questions. Richard Wood, challenging Mayor Howard Mohr, may appear.
