Four residents filed for the two six year Park Board openings in Forest Park. Andy Bauer Milton Eggerding Alvin Hildenbrand and Mary OConnor are the candidates. Filing closed at midnight Saturday per Secretary Edward Huebner. Biographies to follow next week. Park Board members serve without salary.

Little League Dance Tickets On Sale For 1965 Season

Schwass Speaks to Library Friends on Japan and Travel
Wallace Schwass, formerly of Forest Park and now in Westchester, will speak at the Friends of the Library meeting on Thursday March 18 at 8 p.m. He will discuss Japan after a summer in the Orient. Schwass is a teacher at La Grange High School and a former Army Intelligence officer with service in World War II and Korea. He holds degrees from the University of Illinois and Northwestern, was a John Hay Fellow at Harvard, and has written articles for magazines. Guests are welcome, admission is free.

Miss Irma Retires From Forest Park Teaching Career
Miss Irma Figorsz known as Miss Irma retires after nearly 40 years in the Forest Park school system. She taught primary grades at Field Stevenson School and was active in PTA and library Friends. An Open House honor is planned March 28 in Curtis Auditorium with gifts coordinated by Mae Poleier Bishop.

Manz to Play Recital at St John Lutheran Church
Paul Manz, chair of Concordia College music, will present a recital at St John Lutheran Church Sunday at 8 p.m. He has won a 1958 Fulbright scholarship for study in Antwerp and is known for organ works, choral publications, and film scores.
