Four Men Arrested in Forest Park Robbery Sweep
Forest Park detectives with Bellwood and Chicago officers arrested four west side men at pre dawn in their Chicago homes on armed robbery and aggravated assault charges. Cranston Smith and Alvin Boyd posted reduced bonds of five thousand dollars after judge LaPlante cut them from seventy five thousand and fifty thousand. P L Deming and Edward Wood face pending charges and preliminary hearing is set for March 5 at Oak Park Court.

A builder sued the Village Council over a proposed 6 flat at 644 Marengo Avenue. Judge Edward F. Healy diverted the case and the project was reduced to a 3 flat. The declaratory judgement grants the right to erect a three unit apartment building while conforming to village ordinances.
