Girl Scouts Open Cookie Campaign This Saturday
The Girl Scout cookie campaign begins this Saturday March 3 at Morton High School from 10 p.m. to 2 p.m. The event includes a gala birthday convention with registration, a color ceremony by Maywond senior troop, skits by Junior Camp committee, dances led by Mrs. Paul Dunsing, songs, a surprise program, and a World Friendship ceremony. Cookie sales run through March 18 after the convention closes.

Red Cross Campaign Seeks Full Community Support
Karl Hartneck, disaster chairman for Forest Park, asked for 100 percent Chicago area support for the 1951 Red Cross Fund Campaign running March 1 to March 31. He cited 1950 relief work aiding over 2,000 victims and a $5,054,480 national disaster outlay, noting the local quota of $3,350,000 a 24 percent rise due to Korea and defense needs.
