Forest Park Newcomers Club members Doriene Centers and Sue Walsh dressed as clowns visited Nancy Jesuit at West Suburban Hospital after her June surgery. The group busily organized a July 22 splash party at Villa Park Pool with a patio gathering to follow at Vera Mueller’s home.

Oktoberfest committee meeting outlines annual event changes
The Oktoberfest Committee met June 21 at the W F W Hall with 18 of 24 organizations present. No final decisions, but tents and costs push cuts to food and entertainment. Beer sold by glass only, limited food, no live music, possible dance area. Next meeting August 6. 4th of July in the Park noted.
