Thief Licht Flies High in Big Airplane Ride
Fred Lien of the local patrol force piloted a German steel monoplane parked in a depot hanger near Deaplaines river and 12th street for several days last week. The aircraft, owned by Jt. Targon of New York, was a government mail service venture. The chief joined the flight Sunday afternoon. reports say the ride caused a stir among onlookers as it crossed Forest Park Lincoln Park and the lake area. Mrs Licht was unaware until after, but expressed gratitude that her husband landed safely.
