The Ed Rovw Company wins approval to erect a three story diadem buluetriad plant north of Efkrinon silver between Circle avenue and Hunbeh avenue. The site is described as ideal for a modern facility, with brick exterior and ample machine equipment.
Elmer Knipping writes from the front about trench life in France. He describes gas exposure, hospitalization, and hopes to return to duty soon. He sends thanks for cigarettes, candy, and papers, asks about mail, and shares family greetings with his mother and uncle.
The Hlyra Dauwen chair hosted a community singing event at Berger Hall on June 13. Proceeds from earthenware dish sales and a cut cake sale totaled to benefit the Forest Park Agassociated Ubart. The Indies Band, led by Mr. Rehburg, performed pieces including Le Baloma Rogelads ng the Lilly and Springtine.
Yesterday afternoon on Marengo avenue a birthday party marked multiple age milestones. Henry turned eight, Dorothy reached two, and June Hollemann celebrated as a guest and cousin hostess. The gathering featured cake and cream as attendees enjoyed the family event amid festive notes.
Mr and Mrs Koenig entertained last Saturday evening with a mixed shower for their niece Mite Vero Koenig who becomes the bride of Arthur Fitsner on June 20. Guests from out of town attended and brought many gifts. The couple will reside in Gary Ind where Fitsner works at the Indiana steel plant.
A series of farewell gatherings marked the departure of Mr. Nicely, Garfield School principal. Events included a Friday night reception at Milas Hoch’s home in Oak Park and a Saturday lawn party hosted by Lucy Gerhardt with students, teachers, and staff in attendance. The eighth grade B class planned a June 14 sendoff. Gifts included a knife and a fountain pen from teachers and the graduating class.
Children will observe a union service at Alonver Presbyterian Church on Sunday June 16 at 10:30 a.m. The program includes processional by the Beginners and Primary departments, graduation exercises, a talk, patriotic and inspirational pieces, a dramatic exercise, and home missionary greetings. Everyone, especially children and parents, is urged to attend.
The Stork firm changes hands as Lande Broa buys Wolf Bros store on Madison Street. New company membership includes experienced merchants and Uncle Sam service, with the store expected to take a leading role among Forest Park mercantile establishments.
Friday August 7 1918 the Junior Jagkies of Morest Park organized with twenty members at Idelaon's hall 745 Madison Street. Instructor Mate Joseph Grosshiar drilled the boys an hour, they enjoyed the drill and asked to drill again. Members listed include Catwinira Decker Fiamn Mayer Melerland Pitt Fussnter Quirk Nowe Setlur Scheel Vierow Wonchow Young Ziomerman and Ziumerman.BK HARLAND 813 Thomas Ave.
After delays, Madison Street is set as the display plate for the Third Liberty Long quota flag and the Red Cross pendant. The flag running will occur at Haansh Avenue and Madison Street at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June [date]. A speaker from Chicago headquarters will attend and the Benner choir band will perform patriotic selections. The public is invited to participate, and Forest Park is hoped to join with a written dance showing patriotism.
A new American flag donated by the Maywood Cadet Fire Girl group was raised at Proviso High School on Friday morning June 28 at 10:00. Pupils who had returned to collect report cards sang the Star Spangled Banner and saluted as the flag rose. Principal Thalman conducted the ceremony and led the pledge of allegiance.
The Thanksgiving Circle of the King's Daughters will meet at 490 Home Avenue on June 18 at 2:00 PM. Mrs Tornquist and Mrs Lilly will lead the devotional on The Parable of the Hidden Treasure. Visitors welcomed.

Benson of the Sixth District Federation of Woodens Clubs giving remarks. Games and refreshments followed as meetings will be suspended during the summer.
