Newly Formed PTA Council Elects Officers

The newly formed PTA council elected officers: President Mrs. S. Mc Curtis, Vice president Mrs. F. Haick, Secretary I. W. Keebler, and Treasurer G. G. Haffner. The council aims to have each school represented and plans for the formation of constitution at the June meeting.

Wisconsin fishing party nets muskies and pike during weekend

A six member fishing party led by Ore Reich AL Rous Carl Mole Milt Hager Ray Warnecke and Clue Walker kept to Northern Wisconsin returning with multiple muskies and pike. Reich reportedly boasted the largest muskie while Hager claimed a 12 pound catch. The group returned Tuesday and held a muskies dinner at the Hager home in PaGrange. Transportation was provided by Carl Mohr Trailer Show and other amenities eased the trip.

Graduation party for Garfield and Grant-White graduates set for Friday evening in Grant-White auditorium. Joseph Pafume's orchestra secured to provide music for the dance. Committee promises an enjoyable evening with several lovely prizes for non dancers.

Proviso Township Progres sive Party elects officers at convention

Charles Hussey Jr leads Proviso B.G. Party delegates across 37 precincts as the Hettes Government Party convenes at Robert J Tropf's home. Officers include Hussey president Harold Neary and Elmer Locke as vice presidents plus secretary roles and a long list of delegates and organizers. A township picnic is planned for Sunday August 29 at Kiwanis Park Brookfield with Judge Carroll chairing.

Foster Addresses Merchants at Forest Park Chamber Meeting

Frank B Foster of Harvey spoke to the Merchants Division of Forest Park Chamber of Commerce in Springlefield outlining rights on Madison street parking and discussing the original village council agreement with the county board.
