Forest Park touts first annual Sidewalk Street Sale on Monday with free parking all day and evening. Merchants plan umbrella tables and meals served outdoors while the Telephone Company and auto dealer sponsor on street displays. A 85 member Forest Park Grade School band will perform and prizes include grills hot dogs and balloons. Ray Campbell of the Chamber releases $5 gift certificates valid through June 15. In case of rain the sale moves to Friday June 10.

Dannenberg Dead at 61 in Forest Park
T F Dannenberg of 409 Beloit Forest Park died of a heart attack Saturday at Oak Park Hospital after Friday admission. Services were at Zimmerman's Chapel with burial at Waldheim. He was a former Forest Park Commissioner and traffic manager for Sanford Ink Co. member of Forest Park Eagles. Survived by siblings Arthur Emma Otte and Anna Bott and widow of Anna Dannenberg.

Joe Silski Dies Of Heart Attack At 49
Joe Silski co owner of Forest Nawa Agency died suddenly of a heart attack at 49. Born and raised in Chicago he studied medicine at the University of Illinois and later worked in government chemistry and metallurgy during World War II. He headed the chemical lab at Kropp Forge Chicago and with his brother Chet bought the news agency a decade ago. Survived by wife Marie and three children Betty Joann and Joseph Sr. The annual free paper boy picnic he conducted will come Saturday at St Simeon church.
